Day four is almost complete but seeing I don’t want to enter another blog entry on my iPhone I decided to do this entry and then do the Easy Abs app day 3.
Today I did excellent food wise, I think. I don’t know if I’m eating enough still but I feel full and having the Gastric Bypass in 2007 getting full fast isn’t a problem. I made a YUMMY dinner tonight and here’s the recipe for any of you wanting to steal it….
1 package turkey strips (You can use Tofu, whatever you want)
1/2 yellow onion chopped and three green onions
1/2 cauliflower chopped up small
Romaine hearts separated into servings
Homemade Guacamole (many thanks to Kaila)
Brown the veggies in EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) and then cook the Turkey
Scoop mixture into lettuce cups add guacamole mixture and eat away.
I made rice for the family but I had none. Yeah me!
I’ve been in a funk since Sunday and ultra sensitive and feeling like I’m doing everything wrong. Doesn’t help I had two sick kids, callback for Liam, his melt down, and work which I’m not used to yet so it’s been a crazy week as well but this funk makes me want to just lay there and do nothing. I was destined to run tonight so I did.
Music while running makes it so much easier for me to get through. My playlist seemed to work just right today with music from:
Bauhaus, Bush, Depeche Mode, The Postal Service, Rilo Kiley, Taylor Swift, 30 Seconds to Mars, Lady Antebellum, Miley Cyrus, and One Republic.
The thing about music and my jog is that I’ve grown to enjoy music my tween has me listen to OVER AND OVER again but tonight it seemed to work out just right, when my jog was ending her music was beginning.
Have you ever listened to the words from “When I look at you” by Miley Cyrus. Makes me cry and in a good way. Kaila was my only child for 9 years. When I used to be having a rough day she’d come hug me and I’d feel so much better. She’s my angel despite growing up with an attitude. That song so reminds me of her. There’s even a line “Don’t you know you’re beautiful” because she’s had a really rough year and I like to remind her how beautiful she is.
So that’s my day four in the Weight Loss Challenge. Five things about today:
1. I’m really sensitive these days.
2. Music makes jogging so much easier to do.
3. You can get creative and cook YUMMY food.
4. I’m not perfect and it’s OK (have to remember that)
5. I heart my Kaila more than words can say!!!
Now off for movie night with a Michael Shannon flick Take Shelter. If you haven’t seen a movie with Michael Shannon, Where have you been?
Until tomorrow…..
