Instead of making a big mess with carving a pumpkin and getting frustrated with a toddler who wants to help I thought it would be fun for us all to paint our pumpkins this year.

We went to the front patio, put out some papers to get paint on, and painted away.

It’s very easy and this was all we needed:

Acrylic Paint
Small Cup With Water
Paintbrushes
Pumpkins
Newspapers to protect the surface painting on

We got our acrylic paint at Walgreens in a pumpkin painting kit marked at $2.99 per box but on sale for .99 each (Score!). You can find the paint at most art supply stores or eBay even.

It’s best to help your toddler because we found they may want to paint anything in sight. Have fun!!
