Today I added two more items to the “List” of foods I find wrong or as I put it disgusting. I may be one of the pickiest eaters I know. More than toddlers even. So here’s my list in no particular order for your enjoyment to see what a weirdo with food I am. STILL I’ve actually tried some of the disgusting foods I hated and enjoyed them (a little) so needless to say I can change.
The List:
• Beans, all types that aren’t green. We are talking pinto or black, you know odd beans.
• Mayo
• Cottage Cheese
• Cream Cheese
• All white creamy cheeses
• Chicken on the bone or most chicken
• Red meat that isn’t burnt
• Almost all seafood (really it is gross)
• Eggs (Welcomed to the list today)
• Peeps (Welcomed to the list today)
• Raw Sushi
• Veal
• Sour Cream
• You get it, I’ve got issues
I’ve recently enjoyed very little Mushrooms (may not have again for some time) and Spider Roll Sushi (again, may not happen again for some time)
I seem to notice if I have a bad experience with a food that food is no longer desirable. I can’t be the only neurotic food person out there but I am great entertainment at restaurants when ordering and servers always get great tips if they can handle my picky ways.
Chances are I won’t like much on this list BUT you never know seeing I said I’d never eat Mushrooms or Crab and I have recently.
So there you have it. This mom who wants her children to try all types of food won’t eat most of what they will. I’m picky and that’s ok. I’m sure there are foods people just don’t like. I just happen to find most foods those around me like I find disgusting.
