Tonight we celebrated Sukkot with my husbands parents at their Temple. My photo tonight is of the Sukkah that starts off the dinner celebration with some prayers but first here’s a few thoughts I had while we were at Temple which may or may not be about Judaism:
1. How can people choose to hate a person based on their religion or color of their skin? I hear I don’t understand because I’m a Caucasian “Christian” woman but that’s not true. I too have been judged, I don’t think anyone has gone without being judged. What I don’t understand is how someone can kill people based on what they believe in. Tonight was just a bunch of families celebrating together and knowing that because they’re Jewish there’s people who would want them dead just disturbs me and I just don’t get it.
2. Potty training while at a public place makes things a little harder but at least the boy didn’t like the way it felt after he had a mistake and only one was had. Progress.
3. My daughter is so beautiful. She’s really growing up. I’m blessed to be her mother.
4. There’s no point in buying raffle tickets unless you know you are just donating to a cause because chances are the person next to you will win.
5. My health issues with food suck.
6. My favorite thought wasn’t a thought but something I learned…The song Turn, Turn, Turn by The Byrds is written in part about a reading during Sukkot.
Until tomorrow.
