I finished my 5k training today. I never missed a day of training and over the course of the training I learned:
1. Working out first thing in the AM gets it out of the way which is nice.
2. Runkeeper in my neighborhood is 40% inaccurate. This makes me sad BUT at least I was out there and doing the deal.
3. I want a watch that keeps track of mileage.
4. Treadmills are boring.
5. I feel complete after a run.
6. Even if I can’t run the whole time I’ve learned to speed walk so I keep my pace up.
7. I now average about 10 min. per mile. When I started it was almost 15 minutes.
8. I now look forward to working out.
9. You MUST drink a ton of water to not get a headache. Just a little FYI.
10. I feel so good that I can’t wait to do the 10k I registered for with my Lynn in January at Disneyland.
This is my created photo of Moi being the Queen of my world because I finished this journey. Onto the next one starting July 30th with the 1/2 Marathon training.
