Lots Have Completed a 5k BUT…

I’m not all those who’ve completed a 5k and well I won’t be the last to complete one either.

Still on my journey to three miles I’ve found and I’m not done yet…

1. Today I didn’t want to jog. I am hormonal and I would have rather had a diet coke, egg white frittata, and zoned out to the show Sunday Morning on CBS.

2. Yes, I know Diet Coke isn’t good for me.

3. As you are reading this know I ended up jogging 2.81 miles and knowing even though I felt crappy while jogging that I did it.

4. I’m not a fan of treadmills. I realized that today. It was funny to watch me jog 1.2 miles on it, jump off, jog to the back door, exit by slamming said door, and completing the jog outside. Seriously, that alone was exhausting.

5. This is the longest I’ve stuck with a training.

6. I have PCOS which makes weight loss harder. I don’t care and I’ve learned this is to make me healthier.

7. You must drink a ton of water after jogging. You will get a bad headache if you don’t, trust me.

8. I needed better workout clothes. Some are too big and some are too hot to wear to jog.

9. If I workout in the am its much better for me. By evening I’m done. I’ve done mornings since starting this 5k training.

10. Though I’d rather say “I’m Done” I’m going to prove myself wrong and finish.

The point of my 37th year is to do things I normally would never do or complete. This is just another thing to accomplish. The scary thing is in September I plan on training for a 1/2 Marathon at Disneyland in January. When I’m 38. Crazy right.
