It Was Bound To Happen

My husband has been very supportive with my eating needs. Still I’ve been told I shouldn’t deprive the rest of the family of “Treats” so I haven’t and at times I eat the crap brought in. This puts me in a bad mood, at myself because I feel like I’ve failed at clean eating. Having PCOS has so many diet restrictions that I feel I’m being punished for having to eat a certain way. Add to that I had Gastric Bypass in 2007 because of the 100 pounds I gained in a year from PCOS so I have a lot of weird food issues.

Recently my husband decided he’d eat better too. This made me happy. I got to rid the kitchen of the “Junk” which included Gluten Free items because even if its GF it can be junk and not needed in the home at all times.

Some of the things I got rid of was:

Frozen Dark Chocolate
GF Pretzels
Bread Crumbs
Sugary Oatmeal
GF Sugar Cookie Mix
Chips

You get my point. Junk Food. There was lots more but now our kitchen is filled with clean eating items.

I even bought food storage containers to make having fruit and vegetable snacks easier to get by having them ready to go in the containers.

My upcoming blog posts will be about the growth, struggles, and fun ways we will be a cleaner eating family.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.
