Day 60 – My Mom – 37th Year Photo/Moi Challenge

It’s been another 30 days so today I have been 37 for sixty days.

Today I choose to write a bit about my mother. My mom raised three kids alone. Sometimes marriages don’t work out and my parents didn’t do well together.

Being a little girl I wanted my mothers and fathers attention to be completely honest. I remember being sick and my mother making me soup and grilled cheese. I remember going to work with her and sleeping in one of the Doctor’s offices because she had to be at work. I loved to just be near her.

As I got a little older I became that teenager you’d never want. I was what bad after school specials were made about and my mother did the best she could with me. She gave me tough love and I think that helped me become who I am today because she would not let me live with her. I had to grow up fast and I did.

I made my amends to my mother and today we have a great relationship. My mother today is raising my sisters three kids, she cared for my grandfather in his final years, and took care of my aunt with Parkinson’s disease. She’s always doing for others and can forget about herself all too often.

My hope for her is to have some years where she can focus on her and do for herself and travel, etc.

My mom is pretty Awesomesauce.
