I love to read. I don’t have as much time to it seems these days but I’ve found if I’m early somewhere it’s nice to sit in my car and read.

I read to my daughter while pregnant with her and the same with my son. To this day my daughter loves to read and could waste the day away reading. We try to read daily. I think it’s super important to read to my kids until they can read on their own and then for them to still read. You can escape and learn so much from a good book.

My son is full of energy and always on the go making it harder to read to him BUT I still do, even if just a few pages at a time.

A couple of weeks ago I took him to Central Library in Los Angeles and this image is from one of the books he got on his first trip to that library. He’s been to many libraries in his 2 1/2 years of life and its fun to see what’s all around. The reason I took this photo is because this is a series of stories he enjoys and will slow down for.

L loves George. There are so many books about George! I’m so glad that these stories slow him down. I’m so glad he likes to hear them over and over and my hope is he will have a love of reading one day where he too can escape into a good book!!
