Did you ever think, “Why did I drop the Monsters and Monstrosities class for the Margaret Cavendish class?” and then realize you made the best decision?

I did. I’m a month into this semester, and, like the Jane Austin class I took, I’ve gone from not having any desire to read Jane Austin to appreciating her work. I think I get so hyper-focused on writers I want to read that I block out any writers who could end up leaving a lasting impact on me. Hence, Margaret Cavendish and Jane Austin.

For all you Comic-Con people out there, they say that Cavendish would be a woman who loved Cosplay if she were living today. She wrote the first Science Fiction book in 1666, and she was self-depricating like I can be. I wonder, was she autistic as well?
