Day 150 – Nath – 37th Year Photo/Moi Challenge

Another thirty days have passed and I present Nath…We met when our now 7th graders started 5th grade. We bonded pretty quickly.

I value our friendship. I know that we don’t judge each other and I love that we can be honest with one and other. I love we can have bad days and not take it personal.

Friends have the thing they do…for us it’s going opening weekend to a scary ghost story and by the end laughing our heads off.

I experienced my first Bar Mitzvah celebrating her son.

She’s just one word…Awesome!!

Here we are at the party for her sons Bar Mitzvah. We clean up nicely.

So…..I think this photo speaks for itself. I wanted to create the beautiful cards that I found on Pinterest and well you see how my cards turned out. My saving grace is I could always say “K worked so hard on these cards” no one would know the better and really it’s the thought that counts.

Day 148 – I Broke Down & Gave In – 37th Year Photo/Moi Challenge

I had one of those days. You know where even when all is good one thing throws you off? Yes, that kind of day. Also I was tired. I wanted pizza BUT I knew the gluten would attack me and I’m trying to lose my Liam weight so I opted for this instead with the help of a friend. This was a small little piece of heaven and I didn’t get gluten sick. Win/win for me. I was able to have something sweet and not beat myself up or have to much. Perfect.

Day 147 – Recipe Give Away – 37th Year Photo/Moi Challenge

Today I had the best Artichoke Dip and I made it myself based off a recipe I received from a Weightloss Challenge I’m doing. Thought I’d share it with you all….

1 can artichoke hearts drained
1 Tbsp EVOO
1 Tbsp Italian season

Mix all these in a Cuisinart mini prep or something like that until its a creamier type mixture and dip your favorite veggies in and wow, what a great and light lunch!!

Day 146 – Walks Along A Wash? – 37th Year Photo/Moi Challenge

While exploring the surroundings on our visit to the Bay Area I came across this wash and its path. It took me out of the way but there was a lot of beauty all around. Nice little walk with the boy & don’t forget long walks create long naps for Superhero’s.

I was admiring the beautiful smog filled sunset when the boy LIED and called “Poo” but it turned out he wanted to get out and walk about when we stopped. He won and I got this photo. It was a win win for all and when we were in the car again for 10 minutes he announced he “Pooed” again. Smart boy.

Today my son Super Secret Liam Pants convinced his grandmother (didn’t take much) to join him and his cousin in the bounce house. It was there she let me know that it’s much harder then you think to stand upright. Still here’s some photos capturing her fun in the bounce house.

We drove to the Bay Area today. This is what you see when you are the passenger at sunset and the sun decides its time to blind you. If the window wasn’t so dirty from the drive the view may have been more beautiful, yet still blinding.

Day 141 & 142 – Because I Stayed Out Late – 37th Year Photo/Moi Challenge

There’s a side of me that will always love the music I loved as a teenager.

June 11th Bjork will be at The Hollywood Bowl. I would love to go. June 8th would have been a better day but I’m celebrating a Superhero that day and well, this mommy will be too tired.

I used to stay up and party all night and now I’m usually in bed by 10pm. Crazy how life changes.

Still it was nice to see Bjork will be local because its all too quiet around here.

Apraxia Day May 14, 2013

Today was the 1st recognized day for Apraxia. This past year our son was diagnosed with Apraxia. He is doing so much better with two days of speech therapy per week. His vocabulary is growing. When he gets very happy or upset his words disappear.

Today friends and family wore blue and white in support of today.

Love all the support and looking forward to Super Secret Liam Pants beating Apraxia!!
